This intensified the rumours and obviously caused a stir amongst her fans.

Speculation that Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco were dating began a few weeks ago after fans noticed that they had been interacting a lot with each other on social media. When Benny shared a story with an image of a cutesy note, claiming it was from his “gf” and a woman in the background, fans believed it was Selena, based on the picture and the handwriting on the note.
Gomez’s interactions on social media and her candid comments from yesterday, December 7, 2023, have seemingly confirmed the news. She responded to multiple fan accounts in the comments section of the post to defend her six-month strong relationship with Blanco. After some followers deemed him “unworthy” of her, Selena replied, calling Blanco “the best thing that’s ever happened to me” and “better than anyone I’ve been with.”

Selena also mentioned that she will defend her friends, family and fans till the day she dies. In a shocking move, she commented rather rashly to an upset fan who called her out for not supporting Palestine given that she is the ‘Most Viewed Artist on TikTok in the US in 2023.’ The comment received immense backlash and has since appeared to be deleted.
