Lalisa Manoban popularly known as Lisa is a part of the South Korean Girl quartet, Blackpink. She is the lead dancer and rapper in the band. With her stellar dance moves and charismatic screen presence, she has won fans worldwide. Lisa recently did a shoot for Harper’s Bazaar. She will appear on the cover of the magazine for their June edition.

Lisa will be seen on the Harper’s Bazaar Singapore’s Cover for their June Edition. This special edition will be a five-cover special, a first for the fashion publication house. To honour this five-cover special edition, Harper’s Bazaar will be releasing a special edition box consisting of all five covers. The sale for which has already begun at a few stores in Singapore.

For the Cover page shoot, Lisa is seen wearing statement pieces from Celine and Bulgari. While the famous fashion photographer, Jang Dukhwa was behind the lens, Park Minhee was in charge of styling. Lee Nakyeum and Hyunjin Kang were in charge of make-up and hair respectively. Lisa looks like the absolute star that she is, on the cover page of Harper’s Bazaar.

Lisa’s Early Life

Lisa was born on March 27, 1997, in Bangkok, Thailand. She first fell in love with dance and learned various dance forms. It was during this time her interest in music peaked and she started exploring the fields of dance and music.  Lisa joined YG Entertainment as a trainee in 2011 after successfully auditioning for the company in Thailand. She was one of the first girls from Thailand to get a break at the prestigious YG Entertainment.

Soon after being selected, Lisa did not get a break immediately. She trained for several years before she made her debut with Blackpink in 2016. She is the only non-Korean member of the band.

BLACKPINK is a South Korean girl group formed by YG Entertainment. The group consists of four members: Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. They made their debut on August 8, 2016, with the release of their single album “Square One,” featuring the hit songs “Whistle” and “Boombayah.”

The title track, “Lalisa,” is an energetic and empowering song that showcases Lisa’s versatility as a rapper and performer. The album also includes a B-side track titled “Money.” With its confident and charismatic vibe, “Money” further highlights Lisa’s rap skills and showcases her unique musical style. 

​​Following the release of her solo debut, Lisa achieved significant success both domestically and internationally. “Lalisa” topped various music charts in South Korea and entered the Billboard Hot 100, making her the first solo female K-pop artist to achieve this feat. The music video also achieved remarkable milestones on YouTube, accumulating millions of views within hours and breaking records for the fastest music video to reach certain view counts.

Lisa’s Brand Partnerships

Lisa is the global ambassador for the fashion tycoon Celine. At a personal level, Lisa’s fashion style approach is more gender-neutral and Celine offers many fashion choices in that category.

Alongside, she has also worked for big brands including Bulgari, Mac, Prada and Adidas Originals. 

Lis is truly a performer and knows how to keep the audience’s attention stuck on her. From being sweet and innocent to sensuous, Lisa has managed to play all parts brilliantly.
