Our very favourite Mostly Sane AKA Prajakta Koli has carved her own space with her talent and hard work. She made her Bollywood Debut in the multi-starrer Jug Jug Jiyo and has already become a Bollywood favourite with her second film in such a short span of time. She will be seen in a murder mystery, Neeyat, starring big names such as Vidya Balan, Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, among others. The first look of the characters were revealed along with an exciting teaser. The trailer will be released today, i.e, 22nd June, 2023.
Neeyat is a high profile murder mystery drama starring Vidya Balan in the lead role of a Detective named Mira Rao. Other actors who will be seen in the movie are Ram Kapoor, Prajakta Koli, Rahul Bose, Amrita Puri, Shahana Goswami, Neeraj Kabi, Madhav Deval, Danish Razvi and Ishika Mehra playing different characters.
The primary plot line of the story revolves around a businessman’s birthday staycation where somebody is murdered. The event had only the close friends and family of the businessman in attendance which makes the murder suspicions and all the more complicated.
While at face value nobody has any ulterior motives, leave alone reasons to kill, however, there are deeper secrets which puts everybody under the suspicion radar. The sub-plot line will explore the lives and secrets of all those present, unfolding the story, one layer after the other.
The hindi word “Neeyat” directly translates to the intention, which we are assuming is hinting at the multiple intentions for the murder.
The film is scheduled for its theatrical release on 7th of July. Neeyat, along with being Prajakta’s second Bollywood project, also marks the second collaboration for Vidya Balan and Anu Menon, the Director of the Film. They were last seen together for Shankuntala Devi, which was one of biggest OTT blockbusters for the year, where Vidya Balan played the titular character Shakuntala Devi, a story of a child prodigy who then becomes famous for her speedy calculations and wit.
Neeyat is produced by Amazon Prime along with Abundantia Entertainment that is led by Vikram Malhotra. The gripping story is written by Anu Menon, Priya Venkataraman, Advaita Kala and Girvani Dhyani while the dialogues of the film have been written by Kausar Munir.
Prajakta Koli will be seen portraying the character of Gigi and going by the poster, she looks absolutely stunning and fits the part. Her straight face hides a million secrets and the deep stare reveals a few. She very much looks like she belongs to the high societies.
Alongside the first look of Prajakta, 10 other character’s posters were released and we are completely blown away seeing Vidya Balan in a never seen before look. Made In Heaven fame Shashank Arora is another one from the cast we absolutely cannot wait to watch.
The cast and crew of Neeyat made the announcement for the trailer release on 21st June along with a small teaser and first look of 11 characters. The official trailer will be released today, i.e, 22nd June, 2023. We are super excited to witness the magic of our dearest content creator Prajakta Koli along with many others.
