Diljit Dosanjh is a name associated with not just the Indian music industry but globally too. After his iconic Coachella performance that made headlines across the world, the Punjabi pop star’s music is being appreciated by fans and singers all over the globe. Having delivered hits like ‘Do You Know?‘, ‘Lover‘ and ‘Peaches‘, Diljit revealed that he has collaborated with Australian pop singer Sia on a song titled ‘Hass Hass‘. The announcement comes months after Dosanjh shared pictures with Sia from a recording studio on social media. No ‘cheap thrills‘ here because the much-awaited song is finally out now.
‘Hass Hass’ is an anthem of love and joy, that can unite people across the world through the universal language of music! The song depicts a man’s deeply emotional feelings towards the woman he likes. “Feel free to ask for my heart, I would be happy to give it away to you” is what one of the Punjabi lyrics loosely translates to. The highlight of this song is that Sia is singing a part of it in Punjabi! Here’s the beautiful music video that dropped on October 26, Thursday, as promised by Diljit on his YouTube. The song is also available on Spotify and Apple Music.
Global chartbusters such as “Cheap Thrills”, “Unstoppable” and “Chandelier” put Sia on the global map. This is her first collab with an Indian singer. The cat was out of the bag when Diljit announced the new single on his Instagram Stories and X (formerly Twitter). “Surprise! @Sia is the one and only Queen. Hass Hass is a brand new tune,” he wrote. Sia also shared the same album artwork, which features both in their respective famous styles. These animated figures are also seen in the music video.
