Kommune’s exclusive and most sought-after festival, “Spoken Fest” is back with its fifth edition in Mumbai on February 3 and 4, 2024, at the Jio Garden, BKC. Spoken Fest gives its audience two days of strumming music, multiple stages, slam poetry, art forums, dramatic readings, musical comedy, engaging masterclasses, and much more. Such events contribute to the vibrant cultural tapestry of the city, providing a platform for creative expression and fostering a sense of community among enthusiasts.

Spoken Fest has been one of Kommune’s most successful IPs. It’s a place for people to discover the most powerful voices globally, and tune into experiences that help them explore and hone their creativity. Other than artists, here, brands also get a chance to interact meaningfully with creators and audiences. It started in Jio Gardens in 2017 and it is considered to be the Holy Grail of the mindful millennials and Gen Z creators in India.

Modern Voices

The pulse of today’s generation, “Modern Voices” is the most outspoken, raw, unfiltered expression of what we’re thinking at this moment. If it’s too much, it’s Modern Voices.

Have you ever wondered what the people you look up to talk about when no one’s watching? “Guftagu”, the stage of conversations, peels back the curtain on artists and shows you honest, open conversations. Get to know your creators like never before.

An ephemeral tribute to the timeless traditional performing arts, “Virasat” is a modern rendition of India’s storied culture. Come watch performers combine sitar with drums, urdu with rap, and a lot more unusual, unique combinations that just… work.

The Spirit Of The Festival

Every Spoken is unique in the talent it showcases and the stories it tells. “We adapt yearly to the community of creators we represent, and morph to be a stage that is both aspirational and accessible,” says the team behind this beautiful event.

Their ethos is made up of the following:

The festival exists to help everyone explore and unlock their creativity. Whether you choose to watch and get inspired, or participate and learn, or perform and showcase, the festival is for the creative in you.

The Spoken community is dedicated to creating a sustainable festival experience. “We believe in leaving a positive impact, where every word spoken is as eco-friendly as the materials we use.” They work with Skrap to ensure Spoken is a zero-waste and carbon-positive festival.
