The Manish Malhotra Bridal Couture

Designer Manish Malhotra, known for his splendid amalgamation of tradition and modern aesthetics, showcased a collection that left the audience in awe. Each piece of attire represented the essence of Indian culture while embracing contemporary designs, making it ideal for the modern Indian bride.

The show opened with a captivating live performance by the music group The Bombay Choir. Among Manish Malhotra’s recent popular designs was a pearl bustier worn by Janhvi Kapoor at an event in Mumbai. In this collection, the designer continued his exploration of pearls, featuring dainty pearl blouses and cholis, pearl-embellished shoulder pads, veils, and a peplum jacket paired with gharara-style pants adorned with crystal, bead, and pearl embroidery.

Embracing the pearlcore trend, the collection also showcased mermaidcore—fishtail silhouettes. Some ensembles featured a bralette and skirt paired with a voluminous black cape, while others displayed a silver-grey velvet mermaid skirt with zardozi embroidery.

The MM groom looked equally stunning in Turbans with trailing fabric, adding to the dramatic flair. The men’s collection played with prints, florals on whites and ivory, as well as heavier, layered sherwanis and bandhgala-style jackets with Kashmiri embroidery, zardozi, and gota work.

The showstoppers, co-stars of the upcoming movie Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani,  Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh, captivated the crowd. Alia donned a beautiful zardozi grey and silver lehenga with a pearl-hemmed dupatta-style veil and blouse, while Ranveer sported a layered bronzy-brown bandhgala that wowed the audience.

The mesmerising event served as a reminder that fashion is not just about clothing; it’s an art form that reflects the emotions, traditions, and dreams of a society. These Bridal Coutures have left an indelible mark on the world of fashion.
