Chef Guntas Celebrates Five Years as EU Ambassador With a Special Culinary Milestone! Read More

Some chefs create memorable dishes. Others create meaningful conversations around food. For Chef Guntas Sethi, the past five years have been about doing both. The Le Cordon Bleu-trained pastry chef, recipe developer, food creator, and European Union Food Ambassador recently celebrated a significant milestone by unveiling “A Taste of Home: EU Tadka,” a cookbook created alongside celebrity chef Ajay Chopra. The launch was accompanied by an immersive four-course dining experience that showcased how European ingredients can be seamlessly woven into familiar Indian flavours, reflecting years of culinary collaboration and cultural exchange.

From educating audiences about quality ingredients to inspiring home cooks with approachable recipes, Chef Guntas has steadily built a career around making global cuisine feel accessible.

Chef Guntas Has Built a Career Around Creative and Conscious Cooking

Chef Guntas first gained recognition through her approachable recipes, elegant desserts, and modern take on everyday cooking. A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, London, she has successfully combined classical culinary training with content creation, making gourmet techniques feel achievable for home cooks. Over the years, she has collaborated with leading food and lifestyle brands while building a loyal digital community that appreciates her focus on flavour, simplicity, and thoughtful cooking.

Her work has also earned industry recognition. In 2025, she received the Readers’ Choice Best Food Content Creator award at the NDTV Food Awards, further cementing her place among India’s leading culinary creators. She has also appeared as a guest judge on MasterChef India and has consistently advocated for conscious cooking and high-quality ingredients.

Five Years As An EU Ambassador Comes Full Circle

Chef Guntas’ association with the European Union’s More Than Food campaign has taken her beyond recipes.

As one of the campaign’s culinary ambassadors alongside Chef Ajay Chopra, she has spent five years introducing Indian audiences to the diversity, sustainability, and authenticity of European ingredients. Whether through educational campaigns, podcasts, workshops, or television appearances, her goal has remained the same: showing that ingredients from different cultures can complement rather than compete with Indian cuisine.

The launch of “A Taste of Home: EU Tadka” beautifully captures that philosophy. The cookbook reimagines everyday Indian comfort food using carefully selected European produce, encouraging readers to experiment while staying rooted in familiar flavours. The accompanying dining experience featured seven dishes across four courses, each highlighting how culinary traditions from different parts of the world can come together on a single plate.

More Than Recipes, Chef Guntas Is Sharing Stories Through Food

Throughout her career, Chef Guntas has consistently demonstrated that food is about much more than techniques or ingredients.

Every recipe she creates reflects a larger story of culture, craftsmanship, sustainability, and shared experiences around the dining table. That storytelling approach has become one of the defining qualities of her content, allowing audiences to connect not only with the dishes she prepares but also with the people, places, and traditions behind them.

As she celebrates five years as an EU Ambassador, the milestone feels less like the end of a journey and more like the beginning of a new chapter. Through “A Taste of Home: EU Tadka,” Chef Guntas continues to prove that the most memorable meals often emerge when different cultures come together with curiosity, creativity, and a shared love for good food.
