While I can’t speak for a lot of people right now, I am super excited and anxiously awaiting one of the biggest reality OTT shows to launch this weekend a.k.a. Bigg Boss OTT Season 2. A concept that kickstarted last year, Bigg Boss OTT entails a few contestants entering the house before the show launches on television and you can watch the drama unfold on the Jio Cinema app. Some of the fortunate OTT contestants then make it to the TV version of the show and are in running with the rest of the contestants to win the most sought-after (*drumrolls, please*) Bigg Boss trophy.
With an attempt to create a great amount of hullabaloo around the OTT launch which is scheduled on 17th June 2023, OfficialJioCinema has released a few videos giving us a little sneak of the contestants who will be entering the house and here’s a little about what we know about them.
With Salman Khan as the host, this year, Bigg Boss OTT Season 2 is said to be a little different from the previous season as this year the audience gets voting rights to choose their favourite contestants and the power to eliminate contestants who they don’t like. While the makers have dropped intriguing hints without really divulging the names of the contestants, the buzz around the show has got everyone guessing and here’s who we think are some of the contestants:
A content creator and entertainer from Bihar, Manisha Rani is said to be this year’s Archana Gautam and Shehnaaz Gill. One look at her Instagram profile and you will know that this girl is not someone who you can take lying down. She will definitely bring in the right amount of masala in the house.
An actress with 2.6M followers on Instagram, Akanksha Puri rose to fame after her tying the knot to singer, Mika Singh in his Swayamvar. However, after the show, the couple announced that they are just good friends and the marriage was just for the show. Why do we already feel some drama queen vibes here?

The estranged wife of Bollywood actor, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Aaliya is all set to make her debut in the entertainment world with this show. She believes that her debut on the show will help erase the shadow of her troubled marriage and will help people see her in a different light.
Falaq is a television actress known for her role in Sasural Simar Ka. Recently, she has been in the news for standing up for her brother, Sheezan Khan who was booked for the alleged abetment of suicide of actor, Tunisha Sharma.
A television actress who is known for her role as Dr Iravati in Meri Hanikarak Biwi, Jiya was recently seen on the big screen in Riteish Deshmukh’s Marathi film, Ved. We can’t wait to see some celebrity drama unravel in the house.
Also known as Lord Puneet by his fans, Puneet’s rise to fame was the embarrassing viral video where he was shouting loudly while riding a pillion on a bike. His videos on Instagram may be loved by some and hated by some, but this guy is making his reality show debut with Bigg Boss which is definitely not a small feat.
Palak began her career with Splitsvilla Season 7 and her role in Yeh Rishte Hain Pyaar Ke won her national fame. She was formerly engaged to TV actor, Avinash Sachdev who is also rumoured to be entering the house. The couple called off their engagement in 2020.
Abhishek is a gamer who goes by the name – Fukra Insaan on Instagram. He has a gaming channel on YouTube and is known as Mr Beast of India. On his YouTube channel, he is seen completing unique challenges which make you look forward to his next video.
