A physical therapist by profession, she is a vegetarian food blogger who shares Tamil recipes with nostalgic stories from the country. Anjhanaa is based in New York/ New Jersey and makes sure her Indian recipes don’t miss out the touch of ‘Desh’.

She has recently shared a Diwali recipe that is not just different from the usual sweet delicacy but also interesting.

“Omapodi is the South Indian equivalent to ‘sev’ and is usually made during Diwali. But the 4pm kaapi craving also includes some ‘noruks’ (snacks) and I decided to make omapodi to satisfy that. It’s made with chickpea flour or besan and is flavored with carrom seeds.”, wrote Anjhanaa for the recipe.
