Escape Reality with These Must-See OTT Movies for Your Weekend:

The Diplomat

The Diplomat is Netflix’s most recent entry into the oversaturated OTT entertainment market. But this new entry from Debora Cahn (who was previously visible in the credits of Homeland) stands out from the crowd of others vying for attention.

This eight-episode political drama, which focuses on the complexities of diplomacy, state, relationships, and sexism, is arguably the best program to debut recently. The witty series circles in the middle of a political and relationship drama following a husband and wife’s dynamic but communicates much more with its pure knowledge and well-researched subject matter.

SUGA: Road to D-DAY

The new documentary, in which BTS member SUGA makes an appearance, will follow SUGA as he travels to various locations around the world in search of musical ideas for his next album D-DAY, from Seoul to Tokyo, Las Vegas, and other locations.

As he discusses his writer’s block with other musicians and recalls some of his most heartbreaking experiences while trying to write the lyrics for several of his most recent songs, the celebrity is seen throughout the documentary to be his most open and vulnerable. The documentary SUGA: Road to D-DAY also features exclusive live performances of songs from the band’s upcoming album D-DAY.

One More Time

A 40-year-old lady who tragically wishes to be 18 again and finds herself living her day over and over again is the subject of the Swedish film currently streaming on Netflix.

In the movie, Hedda Stiernstedt plays Amelia, a 40-year-old woman who is unhappy with her life and wishes she could go back in time and be 18 once more. On the morning of her 18th birthday in 2002, she is hit by a bus and awakens.

However, since she keeps waking up on the same day, she must figure out the answer to leave the past behind and go on to the present. She learns from her mistakes as she navigates her new environment and comes to the conclusion that changing the past might not necessarily lead to a better present.

Longest Third Date

Hinge, a dating app, helped Khani and Matt find each other. They both chose to go on casual dates because neither of them had any intentions for something serious. The two decided to give themselves a second opportunity after their first date went longer than anticipated and ended without a kiss.

In ‘Longest Third Date’ on Netflix, Khani, and Matt spend 78 days together while under lockdown in Costa Rica. Did they, to borrow a line from Rihanna, ‘find love in a hopeless place?’
