Harry Potter star Tom Felton, also known as Draco Malfoy, has teamed up with renowned director Hansal Mehta and will be appearing in his upcoming web series "Gandhi".
Gandhi is an upcoming biographical historical drama TV series directed by Hansal Mehta, describing the life of Mahatma Gandhi.
Felton expresses excitement, considering it an honor to portray Josiah Oldfield, Gandhi's London friend during his early years in London, Pratik Gandhi.
Apart from Felton, the cast includes Libby Mai, Molly Wright, Ralph Adeniyi, James Murray, Lindon Alexander, Jonno Davies, and Simon Lennon.
The series also reunites Pratik Gandhi and Hansal Mehta after their successful collaboration on a masterpiece called "Scam 1992."
Along with Pratik Gandhi, her wife, Bhamani Oza is all set to play the role of Kasturba Gandhi in the series.
The show is originally based on Ramachandra Guha's books "Gandhi Before India" and "Gandhi – The Years that Changed the World."
Mehta describes Gandhi's story, especially his formative London & South Africa years, as a tale for modern times, emphasising self-discovery & historical impact.
He also expresses gratitude for the opportunity to bring Gandhi's epic journey to life, aiming to shed light on his transformative influence on history.
