The world of social media is based on usage, feedback and updates serving the need of the hour and even experimenting something new. Carrying on the tradition of WIPs (work in progress) Twitter is now working on introducing “Super Follow” and “Super Follow Applications.” The Super Follow will be similar to the Patreon membership but it will be on Twitter.
(According to the official website)
Patreon is a membership platform that makes it easy for artists and creators to get paid. On Patreon, you can let your fans become active participants in the work they love by offering them a monthly membership. You give them access to exclusive content, community, and insight into your creative process. In exchange, you get the freedom to do your best work, and the stability you need to build an independent creative career.
In a recent tweet by Jane Manchun Wong, it has been mentioned that Twitter is now working ‘officially’ on “Super Follow Applications” after introducing the “Super Follow” feature.
The requirements as inferred from the images are:
– Have at least 10000 followers
– Have posted at least 25 Tweets in past 30 days
– Be at least 18 years old
The Super Followers will also have the following perks:
-Labels
-Bonus Content (exclusive Tweets for Super Followers)
-More to come
Additionally Twitter has also announced Communities, which are similar to Facebook Groups but they will be on Twitter. To know more about Twitter’s latest updates and WIPs. CLICK HERE.
