With the new year rolling in, new features continue to roll in too and this time let’s have a look at the renowned microblogging social media platform, Twitter.
In a recent tweet by the popular app developer Alessandro Paluzzi it was seen that Twitter is working on OCR (optical character recognition) feature for the description of alt text. OCR will allow users to read and transcribe the text in an image automatically. Alessandro Paluzzi on his twitter shared a short video of how the feature will function when launched to the public.
Optical character recognition isn’t new to the digital world and a similar feature has been seen in iPhones as well. However this feature of Twitter remains under development and so far there has been no official news about the feature’s official rollout.
