Citizens of Twitter popularly known as Twitteratis will now soon be able to tip (or pay) other twitter users via means of a feature called Tip Jar. This feature is a recognition of the support the followers have for their favourite twitter user.

App researcher Jane Manchun Wong even shared images showing that Twitter could offer a tipping button on its user profiles.

Key Benefits:

  • Supports Cash App, PayPal, Venmo, Patreon and Bandcamp—more options on the way
  • Fast, easy set up
  • Twitter is not taking a cut of tips
  • Available on your profile on iOS and Android
  • Collect tips in Spaces on Android

In its initial phase Tip Jar will be launched in English language and will make use of limited payment platforms only. More languages and payment services will be rolled out after Tip Jar’s official release.

Earlier this year Twitter had launched Twitter Spaces (@TwitterSpaces) with the purpose of enabling the users to ‘live audio conversations.’

So far, the additions made to the platform have received equitable reviews from the public. With the addition of Twitter Spaces, Twitter looks forward to increasing traffic and making the platform more versatile for its existing users and alluring for the future consumers.
