Born on April 22, 1986, Subhreet Kaur Ghumman is India’s one-legged dancer. Losing her leg in an accident didn’t hamper her progress in the field of dancing. In fact, it made her much more determined to prove herself and her worth. Her inspiration has been India’s Got Talent and Nach Baliye fame Vinod Thakur, familiarly known as “the legless break dancer.” Seeing him break dancing on the screen, gave more hope to Subhreet. Today, she’s shining! She’s dancing like she always wanted to and maintains her fitness through exercise.

She got into the limelight with her dancing skills in India’s Got Talent Season 5. Her first ever dance performance was on the Bollywood song ‘Chikni Chameli’. She became the runner-up in that show. You can watch her video where she’s dancing with the judges Karan Johar, Malaika Arora Khan, and Kirron Kher. Both the host Mantra and Bharti Singh too joined them on the stage.

Recently, Subhreet recreated her steps on her first-ever TV performance.

Next, she participated in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Reloaded (Season 8) and was eliminated in the sixth week. She had also appeared on the Discovery channel’s HRX Heroes with Hrithik Roshan and shared her heart-wrenching story of amputation.
