Meta gets spooky this Halloween with new VR launches!

According to the Meta Quest Blog, this year, Meta is approaching Halloween with a more VR-friendly perspective by offering Meta Quest players a variety of fresh, immersive horror experiences.

The first is a brand-new, 180-degree VR experience called “Haunted House,” which was made by director Eli Roth, who previously made the movies “Cabin Fever” and “Hostel.”

The Vanessa Hudgens-led movie transports you to a terrifying house party where guests appear to have been transformed into dolls. That is a definite no from me.

Additionally, Meta has a brand-new, four-episode “Scream Park” VR miniseries with Grace Van Dien from “Stranger Things

Other Halloween VR activations that Meta is presenting include:

Tokyo Case: This Japanese horror two-part, 360-degree short film dominates Meta Quest TV. Episode 1 is currently online, and Episode 2 will debut on October 21.

Drive-In Meta Horizon Worlds: Watch a selection of Crypt TV’s monster horror movies in a drive-in theatre setting with a Halloween theme.

Alien Apocalypse is a 360-degree virtual reality adaptation of The War of the Worlds by H.G. Wells.
Everyone’s favorite clown, Pennywise the Dancing Clown, can’t wait to meet you in virtual reality. Derry Festival and Funhouse in Derry, Maine, where the movie was shot.

In Horizon Worlds, there is also this NOPE VR experience.

In either case, a user has full access to the range of what VR offers, including frightening, immersive, polished VR experiences and more interactive.

And going forward, a user can expect Meta to continue focusing more on VR activations like these as it strives to promote the metaverse and generate excitement for its VR tools.
