Presented by Sony Music India, the hope and healing anthem ‘Meri Pukaar Suno’ crossed 9 million views on YouTube. The iconic pair of A. R. Rahman and Gulzar were the main force behind the song. Rahman composed, produced, and arranged it,while Gulzar wrote down the lyrics. The song was sung by some of the iconic singers of India like Alka Yagnik, Shreya Ghoshal, KS Chithra, Sadhana Sargam, Shashaa Tirupati, Armaan Malik, and Asees Kaur. Premiered on June 25, 2021, it received 134K likes.

As stated on Sony Music India’s YouTube channel, the song “is an appeal from Maati Maa (Mother Earth) to value the gift of life. To believe that despite the darkness & despair, there will be sunshine. Together, we will heal.” The inspiration for creating this melody came from Barr Pictures Media’s ‘Mother’, a one-minute sad, emotional, and award-winning Iranian short film directed by Mohammad Reza Kheradmandan.
