These creators showcase the benefits of using the platform for seamless international travel. The campaign aims to promote MakeMyTrip’s services and appeal to a wider audience through relatable and engaging content.

Fluent in Hindi and recognized for their humorous social media content, these Hindi-speaking videshi creators are the stars of a campaign highlighting the benefits of using the platform for international travel.

The short ad series highlights four main benefits: a full refund if a visa application is rejected for international flights, customer support for extending trips, a full refund for cancelled international flights, and discounts on a variety of credit cards. Each benefit is highlighted in separate ads featuring different content creators.

Drew Hicks

Originally from Florida, Drew Hicks, famously known as India Drew, is an American-Indian content creator who is well-known for his proficiency in creating Hindi-Bhojpuri language content online. Did you know? One of the significant achievements of Hicks is winning the title of Best International Content Creator at the National Creators Award in 2024.

The first ad. features Hicks, who shares that his father usually recommends booking tickets through other websites. However, Hicks prefers to use MakeMyTrip instead. The ad also highlights the discounts that MakeMyTrip offers on almost all credit cards.

Agu Stanley

Agu Stanley Chiedozie a.k.a istanboss is a Nigerian content creator & social media influencer. He amasses 1 million followers on TikTok and 495k followers on Instagram for his entertaining & informative videos about India, its culture, and lifestyle. Agu’s content often showcases his experiences & observations as a foreigner living in India, making him a relatable & endearing figure to his audience.

His breakthrough came when his “Indian train experiences” video went viral, gaining millions of views and establishing him as a prominent India-focused creator. He has also been awarded as the “Best Foreign Influencer in India” at the 2022 India Influencer Awards.

Known for his fluency in Hindi and humorous content, Agu was featured in two ads. In the first, he portrays a frustrated employee whose leave is canceled by his boss due to ‘urgent work‘. The twist? His boss reveals MakeMyTrip’s 100% refund policy on canceled tickets, showcasing the platform’s convenience.

While in the second ad, Agu relishes his vacation and wishes he could stay longer. The ad highlights MakeMyTrip’s ‘15-second connection‘ feature with customer care, making it effortless to adjust plans while traveling.

Yechan C. Lee

Yechan C. Lee, known online as Charlie Korean Bihari, is turning heads with his one-of-a-kind content that blends Korean and Bihari cultures. Hailing from South Korea but with a unique twist of Indian heritage, this vlogger from Bihar adds a distinctive Bihari accent to his videos.

Yechan’s content often features him speaking or singing in Hindi, highlighting his deep connection to Indian culture while embracing his Korean roots. His ability to bridge these influences has gained him a massive following, attracting audiences worldwide.

In the final ad with Yechan, he is shown at an airport where he faces a sudden visa rejection for his international trip. The airport staff mentioned that if Lee had booked his ticket through MakeMyTrip, he could have avoided this problem, highlighting the platform’s 100% refund policy for visa rejections.

Hindi-speaking videshi content creators are increasingly making their mark on Indian social space.
