Instagram has officially announced AFFILIATE which will now help creators get compensated for the products they share. Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram on twitter says: “Excited to share some new ways for creators to make a living on Instagram: 🛍 We’re testing a native affiliate tool that’ll let creators find new products on checkout, share them with followers and earn commission for purchases they drive.”
Now, when creating a Feed or Story post, creators will have the ability to not only tag the exact products they are featuring in their content, but earn commission on any sales they drive from that content.
Adam Mosseri further says: “For creators who want to sell their own merch, we’re making it easier to add an existing shop or open a new shop on your profile. We’re giving creators new ways to make extra money for hitting certain milestones with Instagram badges and Facebook Stars.”
Earlier this year popular app developer Alessandro Paluzzi on his twitter shared images of what Affiliate features would look like when released officially. Check out Alessandro’s tweet for a detailed rundown.
