Indian Crime Thrillers that you can’t miss!

There are shows that give you thrills and make you wonder if what you’re doing is all part of something or if is it normal life and then there are those that make you feel thank god for the real-life experience only. Crime thrillers are the shows that definitely give us the thrills and feels. Indian Crime thrillers have multiple such shows that do the same and few Indian crime thrillers are nothing less than drama and thrills. Here are some of these shows that you can’t miss.

Criminal Justice

Criminal Justice is an Indian Hindi-language crime thriller legal drama web series for Hotstar Specials, based on the 2008 British television series of the same name, written by Shridhar Raghavan and directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and Vishal Furia.

Criminal Justice was released through Hotstar on 5 April 2019. It received a positive response from critics, praising the performances of the principal characters, Tripathi, Massey, and Shroff respectively.

The show’s third season has recently aired and it stars Pankaj Tripathi in the lead role with others. the storyline follows the lives of individuals on a gut-wrenching journey through the criminal justice system.

It is streaming on Disney+ Hotstar.

SHE

She is an Indian crime drama streaming television series created and written by Imtiaz Ali and Divya Johry. Directed by Arif Ali and Avinash Das under production house Window Seat Films, the series stars Aaditi PohankarVijay Varma and Kishore.

The show follows the story of a female constable who goes undercover to bust an underworld gang. She premiered on Netflix on 20 March 2020. You can watch the show on Netflix.

Delhi Crime

Delhi Crime is an Indian crime drama streaming television series written and directed by Richie Mehta. This show is heart-wrenching and it stars Shefali ShahRasika DugalAdil Hussain and Rajesh Tailang. The first season is set in the aftermath of the 2012 Delhi gang rape. The second season focuses on the Chaddi Baniyan Gang.

The lead character Vartika Chaturvedi is played by Shefali Shah who has won hearts with her acting. The series covers the period from the incident happening to the final arrest of the suspects. You can watch both the seasons of the show on Netflix.

Breathe

Breathe is an Indian crime drama thriller series. It premiered on Amazon’s Prime Video on 26 January 2018. It was Amazon Prime Video’s second Indian original series after 2017’s Inside Edge. The series starred R. MadhavanAmit SadhHrishikesh JoshiSapna Pabbi, Atharva Vishwakarma and Neena Kulkarni.

The sequel series that came in 2020 starred  Abhishek Bachchan and was called Breathe: Into the Shadows and debuted on July 10, 2020. The show has been a hit and is streaming on Prime Video.

Paatal Lok

Paatal Lok is another Indian Hindi-language crime thriller web television series on Amazon Prime Video, that moved audiences with its dark plot. It was created by Sudip Sharma, who wrote the script along with Sagar Haveli, Hardik Mehta, and Gunjit Chopra, and directed by Avinash Arun and Prosit Roy. The series was produced by Anushka Sharma, under the banner Clean Slate Filmz, and it stars Jaideep AhlawatGul PanagNeeraj KabiSwastika MukherjeeIshwak Singh, and Abhishek Banerjee.

Loosely based on Tarun Tejpal‘s 2010 novel The Story of My Assassins, the series is about a disillusioned cop who lands the case of an assassination attempt gone wrong. This show is available on Prime Video.
