This Father’s Day, FilterCopy and Hyundai turned up the nostalgia and the beats with a collaboration that’s pure magic a rap reel that’s equal parts hilarious, heartfelt and oh-so-relatable. Titled “Ye Hai Papa,” the 1-minute 28-second video is a letter to every Indian dad, capturing their quirks, their quiet love and those classic moments that make growing up in an Indian household unforgettable.
Starring Anmol Sachar as the ever-relatable son and Max Fernandes as the iconic Indian dad, the film is a montage of moments we’ve all lived: the lights switched off the second you leave a room, the suspicious side-eye at Google Maps, the legendary morning gargles and the way dad hovers (and sometimes panics) when you’re behind the wheel. Every scene is rooted in laugh-out-loud familiarity, but also in the warmth that defines so many father-child relationships.
But at the heart of it all? The Hyundai Venue. More than just a car, it becomes a symbol of how Indian dads show love not always in words, but in the way they teach you to drive, scold you for turning on the interior light, or pretend to hate Alexa while secretly grooving to the playlist. It’s those little things that say “I care” in a language only dads know.
For Anmol Sachar, this wasn’t just another shoot. “I’ve followed FilterCopy for years and finally collaborating with them, that too for such a fun concept, felt very full circle,” he shared. The vibe on set was all about having fun while telling a story that resonates with millions. Working with the FilterCopy and Hyundai teams, Anmol felt right at home, bringing his love for rap and storytelling to the forefront.
What made it even sweeter? Seeing the comments roll in “Bro, this is literally me and my dad” proving that the reel struck a chord across generations. For Anmol, who’s always been fueled by Desi Hip Hop, getting to rap about the universal dad experience was a dream come true. “We laughed, we jammed, we did takes, retakes… and somewhere in between, created something really special.”
It’s not just branded content it’s a heartfelt tribute to the silent ways fathers show up every day. The rhythm, the humor, the little details (like sweet cravings and that classic “don’t waste electricity” glare) are woven together with so much love, you can’t help but smile.
The reel reminds us that Indian dads may be all about rules on the outside, but they’re softies at heart. They might not always say “I love you,” but they’ll make sure your car is fueled, your lights are off and your playlist is just right for the drive.
“Ye Hai Papa” is more than a Father’s Day campaign it’s a celebration of every dad who’s ever taught us, teased us and loved us in his own unique way. FilterCopy and Hyundai have given us a reel that feels like a warm hug, a shared joke and a family memory wrapped up in rhythm and delivered with heart.
