Badshah needs no introduction and has always been in news for his world-class music creations. This time around, the rapper has tied up with popular Columbian singer J Balvin and Puerto Rican record producer Tainy for his international debut. The partnership has made great strides in the music space and the official Youtube video ‘Voodoo‘ has already grabbed a million-plus view since its premiere on April 22.
The collaboration was talk-of-the-town since the announcement was made online amidst much fanfare. Badshah’s social media was abuzz with the partnership news and his followers couldn’t wait to see the offline chemistry turning into a big on the big screen between the globally famous rappers.
The music video named ‘Voodoo‘ presents a cautionary tale of lust and magic, according to online reports. The term ‘Voodoo‘ refers to an idea or a solution almost as magical.
Over eerie synths and swinging dembow drums, Badshah and J Balvin trade verses about being spellbound by a woman. The track captures the sultriness, danger, and desperation of being lovestruck. The single’s eerie aesthetic is matched by the music video, which features sharp choreography and an intricate, candle-lit ceremony invoking spirits, as per IANS.
